Are you ready to buy your very first home? Stay tuned for the most frequently asked question by first-time home buyers and the answer to that question by me, Annie Zambito.

[Channel Description]: My name is Annie Zambito and I’m a Licensed Real Estate Agent for Keefe Real Estate out of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Welcome to Annie Z. Realty, here for your every real estate need.

So! First-time home buyers… The most frequently asked question by first-time home buyers is, obviously or maybe predictably: Where do I start? And the answer seems simple because we all learned it back in grade school. The ‘5 W’s and How.’ That’s: Who, What, When, Where How and Why. These are the questions that I would ask you when you ask me, “where do I begin?” Let me guide you along this process…

First and foremost: ‘Who?” Not only who are you, but who will be involved in the decision-making process. I strongly recommend a second set of eyes or second opinion by a friend, family member or mentor, someone to give you a little bit of backup it’s always a good idea. Okay so that’s ‘Who?’

Next is, ‘What?’ So this is the meat and potatoes of every real estate agent’s questions, right? How many bedrooms? How many bathrooms? How many garage spaces, etc. That’s essential to know so that we can set up a Multiple Listing Service search for you. Ok so that’s ‘Who?’ and ‘What?’

Next is, ‘When?’ What is your timeline? When do you have to be out of your current situation? Whether that’s a lease, etc., you know, what is your timeline? Ok ‘Who?’ ‘What?’ ‘When?’

Next is: ‘Where?’ Not just what municipality, but what do you want to be closest to in proximity? Is it the gym? Is it the grocery store? Is it a school district? Is it your job? Where as far as proximity is very important when we are looking for properties. So we’ve done ‘Who?’ ‘What?’ ‘When?’ and ‘Where?’

And now it’s, ‘How?’ The how is the lender. If your cash, that’s your answer. If you’re not, how are you going to go about this purchase? Often the largest asset in someone’s portfolio is their home so you have to figure out how to pay for that, it is essential. I have a preferred lender contact I can share with you. This is a process that does not have to be so inundated with questions. Believe me when I say there are more options available to you as a first-time home buyer then you are aware of feel. Free to contact me reach out. I would be more than happy to give you my preferred lender contact information. Okay so we’ve done ‘Who?’ ‘What?’ ‘When?’ ‘Where?’ and ‘How?’

And, finally, last, but not least: ‘Why?’ What is the crux of the situation you’re in right now that makes you ready to buy your very first home?

That’s all I’ve got. ‘Who?’ ‘What?’ ‘When?’ ‘Where?’ ‘How?’ and ‘Why?’
